PAI Food Sector

The Food Sector fully integrates with the other PAI Sectors: Agricultural Sector, Animal Feed and Fertiliser Sector and the Business Intelligence Sector

The PAI Food Sector is primarily interested in Food Safety and Food Provenance across the Food Chain.

Like other PAI Sectors the Food Sector has demonstrated its competence by being fully UKAS accredited to EN 45011. Under UKAS accreditation PAI delivers certification to all the BRC Schemes plus ISO 22000 and ISO 9001

PAI is also the UK’s leading certifier for regional food products registered with the EU, e.g. Stilton Cheese, Kentish Ales, West Country Farmhouse Cheddar, Melton Mowbray Pork Pies etc.

Outside of Certification to International Food Safety Schemes, PAI undertakes a large number of 2nd Party audits for many large food retailers and manufacturers. This work includes:
