PAI are the appointed certifiers for the AIC Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops (TASCC).

The TASCC scheme has been in place for over 14 years and aims to protect the food industry from contamination between the farm gate and delivery to the feed or food processor. The scheme covers haulage storage, testing and merchanting of combinable crops and/or animal feed and food materials.

TASCC comprises 4 codes of practice all of which are certified annually:

The Haulage Code element of the scheme is very important as it is the link through the movement of grain and other feed materials within the food/feed chain. A key feature of the TASCC Haulage Code of Practice is the Haulage Exclusion List which as its name implies is a list of materials totally excluded from TASCC vehicles. Lorries which have carried any material on the list are excluded from operating within the scheme at any time.

Membership of TASCC is the outward and visible sign that your Haulage Contractor fully understands the importance in the Feed/Food supply chain of transporting combinable crops safely and is in compliance with the Code. The use of TASCC accredited storage is the benchmark standard for grain in the UK giving the assurance that all feed/food products are handled to ensure the safety of the product at all stages.
